Angel Flying Wins First Place at Ocean Art International Underwater Photography Contest 2025
Just Breathe Receives Honorable Mention
Award-winning photographer Bruce Campbell has been recognized at the 2025 Ocean Art International Underwater Photography Contest, with Angel Flying taking First Place and Just Breathe earning an Honorable Mention.
Ocean Art is one of the world’s most prestigious underwater photography competitions, attracting thousands of submissions annually from photographers across dozens of countries. The competition celebrates excellence in both technical mastery and artistic expression beneath the surface.
Angel Flying was awarded First Place for its quiet power and compositional elegance, capturing a fleeting moment of stillness suspended in water. The image reflects Campbell’s ongoing exploration of movement, vulnerability, and presence in the underwater environment.
Just Breathe, receiving Honorable Mention, continues this thematic focus — examining restraint, breath, and calm as both physical and emotional states below the surface.
“These images were created in moments where time seemed to slow,” Campbell said. “To have them recognized by Ocean Art affirms the idea that underwater photography can function not only as documentation, but as fine art.”
Both award-winning works are available as limited edition fine art prints through Campbell Photo Gallery.
